Magdalena

Magdalena is a passionate integrative healing arts professional practitioner, Hawaiian Aloha lifestyle, Huna follower, dancer, and teacher.
She grew up in Poland, and after finishing her education in tourism hospitality, she moved to the United Kingdom to explore new culture and lifestyle.
As early as she can remember, she always expressed herself in motion, discovering different types of movement, bodywork and breathing techniques (Warsaw ballet school, Latino-American dance, yoga, gi-gong, gaga movement, contact improvisation classes).
Thanks to her manual skills she created unique crafts from natural materials offered by Mother Earth. For many years her hands brought her income.
Lomi was the perfect fusion of her natural gifts, skills, and experiences, and it came to her life in a most unexpected moment, when she was looking for love…
Through the practice and transformative touch she found the love in herself, and moreover the desire to share love, compassion, attentiveness and acceptance to encourage others to discover and explore their power, potential, and through observation of nature to draw on its resources to support their own development.
Filled with gratitude for what she had learned, received, and experienced, she has dedicated the rest of her life to sharing the ancient Hawaiian knowledge with others through teaching.
She feels blessed to have had some wonderful teachers of ancient knowledge and massage like: Marta Maja Gierczynska, Aga Rybak, Susan Pa’iniu Floyd, Serge Kahili King, Jodie Mountain, Harry Uhane Jim, Kaniho Kanehoalani, Maka’ala Yates.

Asgeir

The practitioner and teacher of the Hawaiian healing art of Lomi Lomi Nui and the wise secrets of Aloha, bodywork and healing modalities based on heart connection, loving touch, flowing movement, mindful breath, gratitude, forgiveness and radical presence.
“I am grounding my life in mindful breathing and radical presence with Hawaiian wisdom.
I am living my life with a wide open heart, living a life of Aloha and guiding others towards birthing the power of their own hearts.”

ASGEIR has found his calling in practicing and teaching lomi lomi nui and other forms of Hawaiian healing. He is passionate about sharing Aloha through touch and living embodiment.

.Asgeir started his lomi path through receiving and being healed of chronic backpain avoiding costly and risky surgery.

He then studied lomi lomi nui with Aloha Magdalena in Iceland and started his practice, Mahalo Asgeir. His mission has been to heal his paralyzed mum and help people heal through loving touch. Intrigued by the more esoteric aspects of Hawaiian healing he felt drawn to the wisdom of Harry Uhane Jim and studied the wise secrets of Aloha with the Hawaiian Kahuna.

For the past year Asgeir has been studying with Susan Pa’iniu Floyd to become a teacher of this sacred practice. This journey led him to Hawaii and the bosom of Pele with whom he has formed a personal relationship. Asgeir has studied Huna and Hawaiian Shamanism and feels guided by many teachers on this path.

Asgeir is a father of two grown children and has run a successful retail business for the past 20 years. In lomi lomi and Hawaiian healing he has found a spiritual calling and now feels compelled to share this knowledge with the world.

Description

Lomi Lomi is an ancient Hawaiian restorative healing art, and goes far beyond massage. The basis of its work is embodiment of reverence for life, wisdom, knowledge and compassion and it is based on unconditional loving touch. Lomi has been passed through generations by Masters in bodywork – Kahunas who support the wellbeing of their families and communities.
The Lomi Lomi Nui bodywork involves massage using blend of warm oil, taking place in a safe, warm environment with vibrational accompaniament of music assisted by dance and prayer. The practitioner uses hands, elbows and forearms to apply long flowing, strokes that go from head to toe, massaging both the top and the underside of the body . These strokes of varying intensity give the delightful sensation of gentle waves moving over body, transporting the receiver to the highest dimension of self. The Lomi is experienced as meaningful, profound and spiritual.

E Aloha E!

We both began our Lomi Lomi journey in 2020 and were transformed through this practice. Our paths crossed in 2023 and within a year our shared dream of living a Life of Aloha had given birth to our school : The Lomi Lomi Nui Hawaiian Healing Arts Academy.

We are committed to sharing this knowledge (which has brought us such abundant joy and filled our lives with happiness), with the world and to inspire others to step onto the path of Aloha Life and Lomi Lomi Practice.

The practice of Lomi Lomi Nui has changed our lives, opened our hearts to unconditional love, empathy and understanding and filled us with respect for other people and their unique stories. This enables us to deal with any adversity life throws at us with ease and grace and to respond to all situations with love.

Nana i ke kumu” (look to the source)

The source of our knowledge comes from several schools of Hawaiian healing. The teachers we have learned the most from are these: from the lineage of Abraham Kawai’i: Susan Pa’iniu Floyd, Serge Kahili King, Jody Mountain, Marta Maja Gierczynska, Aga Rybak and Magdalena Grabowicz; from the lineage of Halau Uhane: Harry Uhane Jim, Sila Jim and Kaniho Kanehoalani; from the lineage of Margaret Machado: Maka’ala Yates and Jeanne Iwalani Naluai and from the lineage of Halawa: Lawrence Pa’a Nui Aki and Kyrian van Vliet.

For us the foundations are Aloha, unconditional love based on presence, respect and trust; Ohana, our family in the broadest sense as everything that has touched our life and everything that has been touched by us; and Mahalo, heartfelt gratitude for all the good things life has given us.
